A Convergence of Advanced Textile, Sensor and Wireless Technology 
 

Funded initially by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and developed at the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Sensatex Smart Textile Technology can be incorporated into any fabric (cotton, lycra, wool, silk, etc.) or blend of fabrics to create a 'soft,' integrated applications platform.

Our Sensatex Smart Textile Technology can be incorporated into any fabric or blend of fabrics without affecting the look, feel or integrity of the fabric that it is enlightening.

 

Sensatex�s proprietary Interconnection Technology allows sensors to be mounted at any location on the garment, thus creating a flexible "bus" structure that transmits information to and from the sensors.  Moreover, laundering causes no damage to the Shirt's information processing capabilities, demonstrating the durability of the Interconnection Technology and the practicality of wearing the garment.

The Sensatex API provides the insulating and support layer upon which applications are built.
